Supplies
are needed for most class, kits or patterns. Please check for supply lists.
Classes are subject to change as we
get invitations to do Quilt Shows or Trunk Shows, please check website or call the store.
We can also teach a private
class if you can have at least 4 or more people to take a class. Just let us know what you would like to learn.
Class Descriptions (in Alphabetic Order)
4 Patch Stacked Posie: Make a gorgeous quilt using only one print fabric for the blocks and borders! (finished sizes
will vary depending on fabric chosen and layout.
Aprons and Accessories: Lets pick any apron pattern from the stores patterns. Add a potholder to
match and we are ready to cook in style or gift giving. (Apron Pattern required).
Beginning
Quilting: Many have asked for a Basic Quilting Class. Learn how to use your rotary Cutting Mat, Rotary Cutter and
a vast assortment of rulers. Learn to use a Quarter Inch Guide Foot, Walking Foot (Dual Feed Foot), and other feet to help
you. Quilting 101 book is required. Available at Patches Place Quilt Shop. This is a great book to use as a reference when
you are not at class. Great projects will be made in class.
Braid Runner: Quilt
as you go table runner. Very easy and you can't make just one. Pattern necessary for class. $8.00
Christmas
Table Runner: Uses Gold Fusible Braid and Twin needle. Learn this mysteriously beautiful runner. Poinsettia's adorn
the ends of the runner. Squares of fused onto interfacing which keep them in place to be able to fuse gold braid onto. Book
is necessary for Class.
Crayon Art Class: Learn to color onto fabric. We will be using the 5 tulips as our pattern for Class (Required).
This will teach us all the different colors and the opposite of them on the color wheel. Finishing touches are added with
.05 Pigma Pen (required). Can be turned into a small wall hanging.
Kids Classes: First
class is Basic Machine Safety & Knowledge
Must be at least 7 years old, have a Sewing Machine in good working order.
Must come with Sewing Machine Manual, so that the teacher can help with all parts of the sewing machine if it is not a machine
she knows.
Sewing Machines can be rented for class at $5.00 a session.
Second class will be a tote bag for them
to carry all their supplies. As they progress projects will become a little harder. Some projects to be announced at classes.
Log Cabin in a Day: Learn Eleanor Burns' way of easy String Piecing a quilt. Large blocks give you results fast.
Many layouts can be used to finish your quilts. Pick your favorite. This class will meet 3 Wednesdays in a row from 6:00 p.m.

Machine Appliqué
Class: Let's learn to trace on Fusible Web, iron onto fabric and then the best part to appliqué by machine.
Many stitches can be used to do these projects. Let's experiment.
Machine in working order needed for class. Bring Manual
if possible. If you do not have a Blanket Stitch, a machine can be used from the store if we know in advance. Regular sewing
and some Embroidery thread is needed.
Purse-A-Holics: Let’s learn to create
our own purses. We will be using Free Software for Wild Ginger. One purse can be altered to many sizes. Software allows patterns
to be printed on regular computer paper. A little Scotch Tape and your pattern are ready to go.
Scrap Therapy: Most of us have Scraps... Our First project will be a Tote Bag to carry 3 Shoe boxes with one for
each size of scraps. We have many patterns to choose from after the Tote Bag. Tote Bag Pattern needed for class $9.00. www.scrap-therapy.com/projects.html
Simply Chic Purse: Very
easy purse that has different effects on the top. The lining becomes the outside of the upper flap. Comes in three sizes.
Uses a great product called "Décor Bond", a medium weight fusible interfacing. They are very addictive because
they are so easy.
Pattern needed for class $8.00
Table Runner, Napkins, Placemats,
Coaster: Free class to learn projects to decorate your table or for a wonderful one of a kind gift. Patterns will
be provided at no cost.
Third Saturday: This is your chance to have a free sewing
day with the help available if you need it, maybe just the company of another sewer.
Bring Snacks or we can plan other
things as we keep meeting on these days.
Turning Twenty: Mrs. Cribbs has written 5 books for us to use 20 Fat Quarters. Many quilts are in these books. Pick
your favorite and let's start cutting & sewing.

X-Block: learn to make a square out of many blocks then use special X-Block ruler to maje your finished blocks very

Yellow Brick Road: Grab a handful of Fat Quarters, and you're on the road to a fast and fun quilt! This super simple
